What’s on in Morzine – Winter 2025/2026

Skiing and snowboarding might be the main draw for a winter holiday in Morzine, but the fun doesn’t stop there!

Throughout the season, the resort comes alive with an incredible line-up of events — from live music and slope-side parties to thrilling mountain sports and local festivities.

Here’s a look at some of the standout events happening in Morzine this winter.

12^th December 2025 – AVORIAZ OPENING

Avoriaz opens officially on Friday 12^th December 2025 and then non-stop until Sunday 19^th April 2026!

However due to the vast amounts of snow we have already skied weekend of 28th/29th December 2025 and Avoriaz is open for the weekend of 6th/7th December 🙂

12^th– 14^th December 2025 – ROCK ON SNOW – https://rockonsnow.com

Every winter this event brings together the largest selection of equipment brands in Avoriaz.
For three days, the slopes become the scene of a well-rehearsed ritual: testing, comparing, pushing the limits.

Skis, snowboards, goggles, bindings, boots, skins… All the gear for next winter, in real conditions,come along and test out all the latest gear!

You will need to pre-register and have 2 pieces of ID.

13^th December 2025 – PLENEY PRE-OPENING

Great news Pleney will be opening a week early on the 13th December 2025. Exact pistes and lifts TBC

14^thDecember 2025 – SPARTAN WINTER TRAIL EVENT – https://fr.spartan.com/en/race/detail/9606/overview

No obstacles – just snow !! Come and try the 10k and 21k routes up and around Morzine.

20^th December 2025 – MORZINE/LES GETS OPENING

Morzine/Les Gets opens officially on Saturday 20th December 2025 and then non-stop until Monday 6^th April for Morzine and Sunday 12^th April for Les Gets.

A partial opening could happen on 13^th December snow conditions depending.

21^st December 2025 – 2^nd January 2026 – VILLAGE ENCHANTE

Morzine becomes an Enchanted Village and a festive winter wonderland for 2 weeks.

24^th December 2025 – CHRISTMAS EVE

Christmas Eve is in France celebrated more than Christmas Day with the main festive meal in the evening.

Morzine starts the celebrations with the arrival of Pere Noel (Father Christmas) either on the slopes of Pleney or parading around town (weather dependant).

There are then of course fireworks!

31^st DECEMBER 2025 – NEW YEARS EVE

A festive and lively evening at the Tourist Office square.

On the program: a bewitching fire show, an explosive concert by SPAMS, a DJ set to make you dance at night… and a final fireworks display to close in style!

Atmosphere guaranteed for an unforgettable evening in the heart of the resort.

JANUARY AND FEBRUARY – events will be posted as they are announced
